NASA to Broadcast Live Coverage of Crew-9 Return and Splashdown

NASA will broadcast live on the government's Commercial Crew-9 return to Earth from the International Space Station, beginning with Dragon hatch closure preparations starting at 10:30 p.m. EDT, Monday 17 March.
NASA and SpaceX have met on Sunday to review the weather and conditions for splashdowns in the Gulf of Florida for the return of SpaceX's Crew-9 spacecraft on SpaceX's International Space Station. Mission leaders are planning an earlier return of the Crew-9 mission due to favorable weather forecasts for Tuesday evening the 18th of March. The revised return goal continues to give the Johnson Space Center of the space station to hand over their duties, while giving them operational flexibility ahead of weather conditions that are less favorable forecast for later this week.
NASA astronauts Nick Hague, Suni Williams along with Butch Wilmore, as well as Roscosmos Cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, are completing the long-duration scientific expedition aboard the orbiting laboratory. They will be returning time-sensitive research to Earth.
Mission managers will monitor the weather conditions in the region the Dragon's unloading will depend on a variety of factors, including the readiness of the spacecraft as well as recovery team readiness weather, sea states and other variables. NASA as well as SpaceX are expected to confirm the precise splashdown site closer to crew-9's return.
